About this database

The database contained on this site is for use by Precious Metals Dealers and Luzerne County Pa Police Departments and some surrounding counties. It serves as a way for the Dealer to report sales of certain precious metals to Law Enforcement as required by Pennsylvania Law. It also allows for reporting of second hand goods reporting. In the past this data was reported through paperwork mailed or delivered to the District Attorneys office. This method was slow. Now its real-time reporting allowing police to find Stolen Precious Metals and Second Hand Goods quickly eliminated the need for searching though paper reports. This database has been operational since 2008 and has helped solve numerous thefts, burglaries and receiving stolen property arrests.
